AnswerYes, if you have completed an online quotation for car insurance but would prefer to purchase your policy over the phone, you can still get the online discount as long as there are no further changes made to your quote.


#2If I have a claim for windscreen damage, does it affect my No Claim Discount?

Answer

No, windscreen claims will not affect your car insurance No Claim Discount.


#3What countries do you cover me to take my car to?

AnswerIf you choose to include the foreign use option on your policy, you will automatically be insured in the following European countries:

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican State. 

We can also insure you in the following countries on request:

Albania, Belarus, Canary Islands, Macedonia, Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine.

We cannot insure you in the following countries:

Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Israel, Moldova, Serbia And Montenegro.


#4How do I make a claim on my car insurance?

AnswerTo make a claim, call the first response line on 0870 607 5273 and the advisor will give you further information of what to do.

#5What is my policy excess?

AnswerAn excess is the first portion of a claim which the Insured is responsible to pay and is individual to each policy.


#6If my car has an alarm, immobiliser or Tracker fitted, does it affect the price of my insurance policy?

AnswerAdditional security is not something we provide a discount for at present.


#7I have sold my car, how do I cancel my car insurance policy with you?

AnswerTo cancel your policy, you will need to return your current Certificate of Insurance to us. Once we receive it, we will cancel your car insurance cover and give you a proportionate refund on your premium (subject to no claim).


#8Does my car insurance cover me to drive other vehicles?

AnswerDepending on the level of cover available, you may be able to drive other cars at third party cover (with the owner's permission). You will need to check this on your insurance policy documents.


#9Do I have to pay the excess towards a Third Party claim?

AnswerNo, you only need to pay the excess towards your own repairs.


#10Do I have to pay the excess?

AnswerIf your schedule shows that you have to pay an excess, you must pay this.
